Challenging young bright minds to shape the future. That is what the EU TalentOn stands for.
The Talenton is an event meant for young academics from all over Europe, between the ages of 21 and 35. The event is a competition where people will fight to find the best solutions to problems in the world of today and tomorrow. The participants will be divided into teams. These teams will take on challenges linked to the 5 EU Missions in light of Horizon Europe.
Talenton will be held between 14-18 September 2022 in Leiden, European City of Science 2022.
Divided into small teams, talented early career researchers will receive the necessary tools (such as workshops, company visits, lectures, master classes, personal guidance and cultural experiences) to create innovative and marketable solutions to challenges, which are based this year on EU Missions. At the end of the event, each team will pitch their solution to a professional jury and the public. Winners will receive sponsored prizes from the EU, industry and mentors.
Moreover, the contest will promote a career in research, facilitate cross-border and cross-sectoral collaboration among early-career researchers and encourage entrepreneurship and highlight opportunities in both academia and industry.
Early career researchers can apply to join the EU TalentON until 1 July 2022.
