IE Scholarship for Digital Humanism Summer School 2022

The Digital Humanism initiative, together with TU Wien's Center for Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (CAIML) and the Digital Enlightenment Forum organise the Digital Humanism Summer School 2022 between 19 and 23 September in Austria. At the summer school, you will deal with topics such as AI, humans, and control; ethics and responsible design; fair systems; participation and democracy; platform power, regulation; work in a new world; or sovereignty and geopolitics.

The summer school targets PhD and advanced master's students from engineering, social science and humanities as well as interested persons from industry, institutions and civil society. Leading scientists from the different fields involved will introduce the topics. A typical course is broad enough to provide a general introduction to the chosen topic, whilst one can learn the relevant contributions in depth. In addition, there is enough room for discussions and presentations of participants’ projects. By completing the school participants get awarded with three ECTS-credit points.

To apply for the scholarship, please register here to the Summer School by 16 August, and send an email to administration@informatics-europe.org attaching the tuition fee-waiver letter mentioned in the Summer School registration process. Scholarships will be awarded to students selected on the basis of merit and financial need.
