We accept applications to ELTE Doctoral School of Informatics each year from 1 April to 31 May inclusive. It is possible to apply in person at our university office or online, depending whether you are already in Hungary or abroad.
Applicants to the Doctoral School of Informatics must have an M.A., MBA or M.Sc. degree, or shall be last year students, at one of these programs.

LIST OF DOCUMENTS you need to bring for applying*:
*The documents are only accepted in the following languages: English or Hungarian. Official translations must be attached if the original language is different.
-filled and signed application form
-copy of master’s degree certificate (last year students can bring it after the entrance examination)
-copy of BSc degree certificate
-transcript of records (both BSc and MSc)
-B2 complex language exam certificate (state-accredited)
-list of publications (if you have)
-character reference/ recommendation letter
-research plan signed by the supervisor (list of thesis topics and supervisors: http://www.doktori.hu/index.php?menuid=116&lang=EN)
-a statement about the payment of the tuition fee, if the applicant doesn’t apply for scholarship
-a statement about the place of the doctoral research work in case the applicant will do the research work at an external institute outside of the university
-certificate of clean criminal records
-two envelopes with stamp and the applicants mailing address, where they would like to receive the official letter regarding the result of the admission
-proof of admission fee payment (9000 HUF)
