Why MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships?
The Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) are the European Union’s flagship funding programme for postdoctoral training and research excellence. MSCA PFs are designed to:
- Foster international, interdisciplinary, and inter-sectoral mobility,
- Support the career development of highly skilled researchers,
- Enhance innovation, collaboration, and research impact across Europe and beyond.
Host Institution: ELTE Faculty of Informatics
As one of Central Europe’s leading research institutions, Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE) in Budapest offers a vibrant academic environment and a rich tradition in computer science and mathematics. The Department of Data Science and Engineering welcomes motivated postdoctoral researchers to join our Best Practices Enhanced by Development Opportunities (BP-EDO) Research Group.
We invite expressions of interest from researchers with strong track records and innovative ideas in areas such as:

MSCA PF 2025 – Key Facts & Timeline
- Call opens: 8 May 2025
- Submission deadline: 10 September 2025, 17:00 (Brussels time)
- Results expected: February 2026
Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the MSCA PF 2025, you must:
- Hold a PhD by the time of the call deadline.
- Have no more than 8 years of full-time research experience post-PhD.
- Comply with the mobility rule: you must not have lived or worked in Hungary for more than 12 months in the 36 months prior to the deadline.
About the Fellowship
- Duration: 1–2 years
- Funding includes: salary, mobility allowance, family allowance (if applicable), research and training costs
- Applications must be jointly submitted by the researcher and the host institution (ELTE) via the EU Funding & Tenders Portal.

Letters of Commitment are required from secondment/placement partners.
