Manufacturers and trading companies are using increasingly advanced technologies to track their stock and support their warehouse systems. Modern warehouse systems have undergone significant development over the past few years. Systems with robots and machine intelligence appeared everywhere in the areas of material handling, order picking, and warehouse optimization. A significant challenges in this process is to develpo machine-vision robotic systems that can recognize raw materials, semi-finished products, commodities that do not carry any identifiers.

The aim of the project is to create an automatic warehouse inventory system supported by artificial intelligence, based on machine vision, that allows a fully robotic inventory of raw material and semi-finished product warehouses, provided that a good visibility and approach to stored goods can be ensured. The system to be developed consists of a new inventory robotic unit based on an existing robotic platform, a central control unit and a mobile phone application.

The project is a significant innovation which can also be used in practice, based on new developments be achieved in the field of MachineVision (MV) and AI-supported autonomous Warehouse Robotics (WR). The planned robotic system with MOBOT technology provides a solution in a new field, the field of metal products, for the recognition and counting of products that are being inventoried currently with human resources. Martin Metal Product Co. plans to make the new MOBOT inventory robot available for sale as a new product, to both domestic and international companies storing raw materials and semi-finished products.
