BSc programmes

The students of informatics can obtain various specializations in the profession. With this degree, the students can easily get jobs or can study for MSc in informatics. The students have to choose their specialization at the beginning, but they can modify their choice in any semester.

• Specialization in modelling is recommended to those who are first of all interested in formulating mathematical models and in solving the informatics problems of numerical and symbolical calculation methods.
• Specialization in software development is recommended to those students who are interested in building integrated software systems and in the theoretical and practical methods and tools of software technology.
• Specialization in software applications is first of all recommended to those students who are interested in the practical sides of informatics, in the application of existing software products.
• Specialization in teaching informatics (plus mathematics or another subject) is recommended to those who wish to study another subject too and interested in pedagogy and psychology. The following subjects can be combined with informatics: mathematics, biology, chemistry, environment science, geography, nature study, physics, technology, and English and German languages.
